This is a vital position in our operation. Prior experience relevant to this field is required. We are looking for a highly-motivated and organised candidate to work closely with our farm manager for our plants and ensuring we produce the best produce we possibly can. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the farm, from sowing to post-harvest.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Prepare products and process quality reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends

  • Maintain systems for accurate documentation of quality processes and data collection on the production line

  • Maintain and monitor consistent product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies; collaborating with other members of management to develop new products, production, maintenance, and training methods

  • Follow operational tasks to completion dealing with plant and crop production, prepared by the farm manager.

  • Coordinate and conduct maintenance and repair of company equipment and the building, proactively address areas of concern to minimize unplanned downtime, increase equipment efficiency, and maintain a clean, safe working environment

  • Responsible for proper FIFO rotation on the different products and keeping records for proper trace-ability

  • Support assistant grower with agronomy know-how and operational priorities with a supportive and collaborative approach

  • Prepare, pack and perform quality control on orders accordingly

Qualifications

  • Great time management skills

  • Experience working with data, finding ways to analyse and visualize complex data sets to drive insight

  • Experience in food production, agriculture, gardening, and/or farming, F&B

  • Adjusts to changing conditions and willingness to work off-shift, holidays, and weekends as needed

Ideal Candidate

  • Reliable and highly motivated

  • Commercial production experience in indoor, urban, vertical, aquaponics or hydroponics farms

  • Ability to thrive at work under minimal supervision and direction

  • Passionate about sustainability, urban farming, plants, food, nutrition
